Not everyone is aware that cell phones and other electronic devices are an n especially problematic component of the waste stream. This is because they contain a large number of hazardous substances, which can pollute the air when burned in incinerators and leach into soil and drinking water when buried in landfills.

All cell phones, regardless of age or condition, will be accepted. Those donating their cell phones should deactivate their phone service prior to turning them in. Currently, cell phones can be brought to Cardinal Environmental’s offices at 3303 Paine Avenue in Sheboygan during business hours, 7:30am to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
